Requirements

1. This FREE Amico Controller app – transforms smart devices into Amico game controllers.
2. An Amico Console or the FREE Amico Home app which converts a compatible smart device into an Amico Console.
3. A Wi-Fi network shared by all devices participating in the gaming session.

Amico Controller Features

• Disc – provides directional input for gameplay and menu navigation.
• Touchscreen – shows the controller’s menus, game-specific details, controls, and menus.
• Menu Button – opens/closes the controller options menu on the touchscreen and pauses/resumes gameplay.
• Action Buttons – offer game-specific functions and allow selection of highlighted menu items on the "console" device.
• Speaker – certain games produce sound effects through your controller device's speaker.
• Microphone – some games involve recording your voice through your controller device's microphone for in-game actions.

Sign-In Menu

Upon launching the Amico Controller app, it automatically connects via Wi-Fi to the device running the Amico Home app. You will then encounter the sign-in menu which offers four ways to sign in as a player:

1. Create a new resident account – enter your player nickname, preferred language, and optional account password (along with a password hint).
2. Choose from a list of previously created resident accounts.
3. Use a guest account – enter a player guest nickname.
4. Utilize an anonymous guest account – which assigns names such as "Player1," "Player2," etc. to log in anonymously.

A resident account retains your account information and controller preferences between sessions, whereas a guest account does not. Your information is not transmitted over the Internet or stored on cloud servers in either case.

Options Menu

To access the controller's option menu on the touchscreen area, simply press the small menu button. This action pauses gameplay if a game is currently active. To resume gameplay, press the menu button again to close the options menu. The items in the options menu are tailored to the current play state, sign-in status, and connection to the Amico Home console device to ensure a streamlined experience.

Important Options Menu Items:

• Sign Out – log out of the current signed-in player account and return to the controller Sign-In menu.
• Game Menu – exit active gameplay and return to the game’s main menu.
• Amico Home – exit a game entirely and return all players to the Amico Home app.
• Settings (Gear) – offers various customization options to personalize your controller and gameplay experience.
• Rotation Lock/Unlock – toggles between locking and unlocking the rotation ability of the controller UI when changing orientations.

The user-friendly design of Amico Controllers allows for easy rotation to suit left-handed or right-handed users. While some games may restrict UI orientation based on touchscreen requirements, you can freely rotate the controller within those constraints. The touchscreen UI and Disc directions automatically adjust to match your orientation (unless rotation is locked).
